Head of Sales – London

About the role

John D Wood is seeking a dynamic Head of Sales to lead its Chiswick office. You will be responsible for driving branch performance, expanding market share and ensuring the highest standards of client service within the UK residential property market.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve and exceed branch sales targets and profitability goals.
• Oversee the full estate‑agency process, from market appraisals and listings to negotiations and sales progression.
• Analyse market data and trends to provide weekly client updates and strategic advice.
• Conduct monthly performance reviews, set development plans and identify training needs for team members.
• Maintain and update property marketing materials, including brochures, floor plans, photographs and price changes.
• Prepare all required documentation for new listings, such as agency agreements and AML forms.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding and ongoing development of the office team.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a successful branch or sales team.
• Strong relationship‑building skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Professional appearance and conduct that enhances the company’s reputation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, empathy and a dynamic leadership style.
• Full, clean driving licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience using Outlook for email and calendar management.
