Head of Talent & Capability – RX Division

About the role
The Head of Talent & Capability for the RX business will join the RELX Talent & Capability Centre of Excellence (COE) Leadership Team. In this senior position you will own the delivery of the COE strategy, align it with divisional priorities and embed talent solutions that drive performance and build a strong pipeline of future leaders.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design and implement talent and capability approaches that support RX business objectives.
- Advocate and roll‑out RELX leadership and development programmes, focusing on manager capability, high‑performance culture and talent pipeline.
- Represent RX in enterprise‑wide T&C discussions, ensuring outcomes are relevant, accessible and add high value.
- Use data and metrics to monitor the quality, effectiveness and user experience of talent initiatives.
- Coordinate the RELX Talent Review, identifying critical positions, talent readiness and succession pipelines.
- Drive a culture of feedback, recognition and continuous growth across the division.
- Manage the divisional training plan, overseeing budget for categories 1 & 2 and monitoring non‑T&C training spend.
- Identify opportunities to automate high‑volume administrative tasks and shift them to Tier 0/1 support.
Required profile
- Ability to incorporate the voice of the business when designing and delivering talent practices.
- Strong commercial acumen with a clear understanding of RX’s business drivers.
- Experience operating across geographies and industries, delivering large‑scale talent initiatives.
- Client‑centric relationship building with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams.
- Future‑focused mindset, recognising the impact of AI and global trends on talent needs.
- Strategic and commercial thinking to act as a thought partner to senior leadership.
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Educational background demonstrating cognitive ability, curiosity and resilience.
