Head of Transformation

About the role

Sky's Business Transformation team leads its most significant and complex transformations, from reimagining how customers are served to redesigning how the organisation operates. The Head of Transformation works with senior leaders across all markets to turn strategic intent into results, covering future-state operating models and major product, proposition and content investments. The role is based at the Sky Group HQ in Osterley, London, with a hybrid arrangement of three days in the office per week.

Key responsibilities

• Shape and develop strategic recommendations grounded in commercial and financial analysis, and turn them into clear, actionable delivery plans.
• Lead end-to-end design and delivery of large, complex, multi-functional transformation programmes, including operating model change and key strategic initiatives.
• Drive and take accountability for programmes through all stages of the lifecycle, leading teams across workstreams such as technology, operations, digital, marketing, commercial and finance.
• Offer alternative solutions and use structure, storytelling and influence to align diverse stakeholders.
• Set up governance and reporting, giving clear, accurate and independent updates to senior executives on status, issues and risks.
• Own and evolve the end-to-end plan, keeping strategic intent, delivery outcomes and the future-state operating model aligned.
• Facilitate change management, operating model design or process improvement depending on programme needs.

Required profile

• Substantial experience leading cross-functional business transformation in large, complex organisations, directly or via consultancy, including programme leadership, change management or operating model design.
• Significant experience setting strategy and leading large-scale, cross-functional programmes, ideally with direct involvement in operating model design and implementation.
• Experience managing senior executives and leaders while balancing competing priorities.
• Experience developing clear, insight- or financially-led strategies (possibly in a strategy consultancy) and driving them through to implementation.
