About the role

A leading financial services organisation is seeking a Head of Transition Programme Management to lead the delivery of transition projects for its clients. The role will shape project management processes, standards and governance frameworks that drive cost efficiency, risk mitigation and value creation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement efficient project management methodologies and governance structures across transition programmes.
• Oversee large‑scale, complex client‑facing onboarding programmes and ensure successful delivery.
• Manage multi‑million‑pound departmental budgets and monitor financial performance.
• Collaborate with executive stakeholders and cross‑functional teams to align programme objectives.
• Introduce and embed risk management processes and quality‑control mechanisms.
• Develop monitoring dashboards and reporting tools to track programme progress.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in the financial services sector.
• Proven track record of leading large, complex transition or onboarding programmes at scale.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multi‑million‑pound budgets.
• Strong experience working with senior executives and cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to embed governance frameworks and risk management processes.
• Experience fostering a high‑performance culture and developing project managers.
