Health and Safety Auditor

About the role

As a Health and Safety Auditor you will conduct desktop health and safety audits to support the SafeContractor accreditation process, helping our network of clients stay compliant with key standards. You will play a key part in building safer workplaces by ensuring health and safety management systems meet our rigorous criteria.

Key responsibilities

• Contact customers to gather all relevant data for desk‑based assessments of health and safety management systems.
• Complete proportionate, risk‑based audits and verify that standards have been met before issuing accreditation.
• Provide clear feedback on non‑conformances, outlining improvement areas to achieve accreditation.
• Offer health and safety advice and guidance to customers.
• Deliver excellent customer service while working in a target‑based environment.
• Meet productivity, quality targets and KPIs.
• Compile detailed reports on information provided by customers and contractors.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of UK health and safety legislation and best practice.
• NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) and eligibility for IOSH membership.
• Minimum 2 years of UK health and safety experience in a workplace environment.
• Experience supporting customers, managing enquiries by phone and email, and applying health and safety knowledge practically.
