Health and Social Care Assessor – 4‑day week

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Health and Social Care Assessor to join our team on a permanent four‑day compressed‑hours basis. The role is home‑based with regular field visits across Gloucester and surrounding areas, supporting learners undertaking Health and Social Care apprenticeships.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and support learners progressing through Levels 2, 3 and 5 Health and Social Care apprenticeships, including Functional Skills in Maths and English.
• Plan and manage a diary to ensure timely on‑site visits, remote assessments and progress reviews.
• Maintain accurate documentation of learner progress and outcomes.
• Motivate and advise learners, overcoming barriers to learning.
• Meet assessor KPIs for visit frequency, paperwork quality and overall administration.

Required profile

• Hold a recognised Assessor award (e.g., D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA).
• Proven experience delivering full Health and Social Care apprenticeships, guiding learners to Gateway and End‑Point Assessment.
• Solid occupational background in elderly care.
• Good ICT proficiency and confidence delivering Functional Skills.
• Full, clean driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Flexibility to travel across the assigned region.
