About the role
We are looking for a qualified Health and Social Care Assessor to join our team in Exeter and the surrounding area. You will work flexibly from home and in the field, supporting learners undertaking Health and Social Care apprenticeships and delivering functional skills in Maths and English.
Key responsibilities
- Assess and support learners progressing towards Level 3 or Level 5 Health and Social Care apprenticeships.
- Deliver functional skills training in Maths and English up to Level 2.
- Plan and manage your diary to ensure timely visits, remote assessments and reviews.
- Maintain accurate documentation of learner progress and produce required paperwork.
- Motivate and advise learners, overcoming barriers to learning.
- Meet KPI targets for visit frequency, paperwork quality and overall administration.
Required profile
- Recognised Assessor award (D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA).
- Experience delivering Health and Social Care apprenticeships (frameworks or standards).
- Occupational competency in Health and Social Care for the elderly.
- Ability to deliver functional skills in Maths and English.
- Willingness to conduct both online and face‑to‑face assessments.
- Full, clean driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Flexibility to travel within the South West region.

What we offer
- Salary between £27,000 and £30,000 per annum, dependent on delivery level.
- Performance‑related bonus.
- Permanent full‑time contract.
- Hybrid working – home and field based.
