Health and Social Care Assessor (Hybrid, Southampton)

About the role

We are seeking a Health and Social Care Assessor to support adult‑care apprentices across Southampton and surrounding areas. Working on a hybrid model, you will combine remote coaching with scheduled workplace visits to help learners achieve their apprenticeship qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with learners and employers through regular reviews.
• Deliver high‑quality teaching, coaching and assessment sessions aligned to apprenticeship standards.
• Conduct workplace observations to assess practical competency.
• Review learner work, provide constructive feedback and support functional skills in maths and English where needed.
• Prepare learners for the End Point Assessment and monitor progress to ensure timely qualification achievement.
• Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and a safe learning environment at all times.

Required profile

• Level 3+ qualification in Health & Social Care.
• Minimum two years recent experience in adult health and social care at senior carer level or above.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the region.
• Ability to manage own diary and meet performance targets.
