Health Care Assistant – Bristol, Bath & Swindon

About the role

We are seeking compassionate Health Care Assistants to provide person‑centred support in private care homes and community settings across Bristol, Bath and Swindon. You will work alongside another carer or deliver dedicated 1:1 care, ensuring safety, dignity and independence for each resident.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, respectful care in line with individual care plans.
• Assist with personal hygiene, dressing, toileting and continence care.
• Use moving and handling equipment such as hoists and wheelchairs safely.
• Provide 1:1 support, monitoring residents for falls, distress or challenging behaviour.
• Encourage meals, record food and fluid intake, and support mobility and pressure‑area care.
• Prompt or support medication only when trained and authorised.
• Maintain accurate hourly care notes and report any changes to senior staff.
• Travel to service users’ homes, delivering personal care, meal preparation, light household duties and companionship.

Required profile

• Eligible to work in the UK – UK applicants only, no sponsorship.
• Full‑time availability.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Commitment to maintaining privacy, dignity and independence of service users.
