Health Care Assistant – Leicester

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team in Leicester. You will work closely with patients and clinical staff to ensure a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure patients are comfortable and assist with mobility.
• Support patients with washing, dressing, and eating.
• Maintain tidy departments and clean equipment, including GP and treatment rooms.
• Prepare and maintain environments before, during, and after patient care interventions.
• Carry out dressing procedures, remove sutures and clips, and support minor surgery.
• Monitor blood glucose and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height, weight, BMI, and peak flow.
• Promote health and well‑being awareness and keep accurate records of activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 2.5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information tactfully.
• Effective time‑management and ability to adapt to last‑minute changes.
• Motivated, reliable, and committed to teamwork and supporting others.
• Successful Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
