Health Courier Driver & Storekeeper

About the role

The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership is seeking motivated individuals to join its Health Courier Service in the Llanfairfechan area. As a Driver/Storekeeper you will support the safe transport and distribution of medical samples, blood products, stationery, laundry, and consumables across NHS Wales.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, sort and deliver over 120,000 items of mail and medical notes each week.
• Transport millions of pathology and blood product samples in compliance with dangerous goods and GMP regulations.
• Manage stock items in store centres, ensuring accurate replenishment to hospitals, GP practices and other health sites.
• Operate within core service hours (8 am‑6 pm, Mon‑Fri) and provide limited 24‑hour support when required.

Required profile

• Valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle class used.
• Ability to work safely with hazardous and regulated medical materials.
• Willingness to work in a fast‑paced logistics environment.
• Welsh language skills are desirable but not mandatory.
