Health & Safety Advisor

About the role

We are seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to join our construction team in Cowley. Reporting to the Head of Health and Safety, you will support project teams, promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with legislation across a variety of sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Promote health and safety ethos across the company and with subcontractors.
• Review subcontractor documentation and safe systems of work.
• Assist in preparing health and safety strategies, policies and procedures.
• Lead and deliver health & safety initiatives and in‑house training for managers and staff.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify implementation of policies.
• Investigate accidents and incidents and produce reports.

Required profile

• Professional qualification in health and safety (NEBOSH, NCRQ, or equivalent BSc/MSc).
• Proven experience as an operational Health & Safety Advisor within the construction industry.
• Thorough knowledge of current health and safety legislation.
• Experience conducting accident and incident investigations.

• Ability to interpret and apply health and safety regulations.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills.
• Effective communication with site personnel and subcontractors.
