Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Coordinator – Skelmersdale Dairy

About the role

Join Muller’s Skelmersdale dairy site as an HSE Coordinator, driving a proactive safety culture and ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards. This hands‑on position works closely with site teams to promote best practice and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Support compliance with HSE legislation and Muller policies.
• Conduct risk assessments, legal audits and internal HSE audits.
• Investigate incidents, close out actions and manage non‑conformances.
• Deliver HSE inductions and training to staff.
• Champion behavioural safety and colleague engagement.
• Coordinate HSE programmes, track performance data and support external audits.
• Administer HSE systems, health surveillance schedules and deputise for the HSE Manager as needed.

Required profile

• NEBOSH Certificate (essential).
• IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management (desirable).
• Confident communicator able to influence and engage colleagues.
• Comfortable delivering training and promoting a strong safety culture.
• Organised, solutions‑focused and approachable.
