Health & Safety ISO Officer

About the role

The Health & Safety ISO Officer will join the Compliance team in London, supporting ISO accreditation and ensuring health and safety standards across multiple sites. Reporting to the QEHS Manager, you will play a pivotal role in monitoring compliance, conducting audits, and fostering a safety‑first culture.

Key responsibilities

• Perform desktop and on‑site health and safety audits across company locations and suppliers.
• Monitor adherence to internal policies, procedures, and UK legislation.
• Assist in preparing and delivering ISO audit programmes.
• Investigate incidents and near‑misses, conduct root‑cause analysis, and track corrective actions.
• Produce monthly compliance and health‑and‑safety reports for senior management.
• Collaborate with operational teams to maintain standards and present findings at supplier review meetings.
• Carry out site inspections, risk assessments, and regulatory visits.
• Provide guidance on legislation and best practice, supporting broader compliance initiatives.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a health & safety, compliance or ISO‑focused role.
• Strong understanding of UK health and safety legislation.
• Proven ability to conduct internal audits and inspections.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel to various sites as needed.
