Health & Safety Manager – Logistics/Warehousing

About the role
This is a technical leadership position responsible for establishing and growing a new Health & Safety team across two sites in the South East. The role sits within the logistics subsidiary of a multi‑sector group and offers autonomy to shape safety processes for warehousing and logistics operations.
Key responsibilities
- Set up a new H&S team covering sites in Essex and Suffolk.
- Develop and implement health and safety processes and procedures.
- Monitor workforce safety and lead training programmes.
- Conduct hands‑on inspections, audits and compliance checks, especially during the early stages.
Required profile
- Experience as a Health and Safety Manager or similar role within logistics/warehousing.
- Ability to recruit, train and lead internal and external staff.
- Willingness to travel between two sites and be based in the South East.
Required skills
- IOSH certification
- NEBOSH qualification
- HSEQ knowledge
What we offer
- Salary between £45,000 and £55,000 per year.
- Training and clear progression path.
- Monday‑Friday working pattern (07:30‑16:30).
