Health & Social Care Assessor – 4‑day week

About the role
This permanent, 4‑day week position is based in Oxford and involves delivering assessment for Health and Social Care apprenticeships (Levels 2, 3 and 5) across Oxford and Northampton. The assessor will support learners through apprenticeship milestones and functional skills in Maths and English, using both online and face‑to‑face methods.
Key responsibilities
- Assess and support learners working towards Health and Social Care apprenticeships.
- Manage a diary to ensure timely visits, reviews and documentation.
- Deliver Functional Skills Maths and English to level 2.
- Conduct online remote assessments and face‑to‑face assessments when required.
- Meet KPI targets for visits, paperwork quality and administration.
- Travel across the region using a personal vehicle.
Required profile
- Hold a recognised Assessor award (D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA).
- Experience delivering full Health and Social Care apprenticeships, including Gateway and End Point Assessment.
- Solid occupational experience within elderly care.
- Full, clean driving licence and flexible travel availability.
- Good level of ICT proficiency.
- Ability to motivate and support learners.
Required skills
- ICT proficiency for digital assessment platforms.
- Capability to deliver Functional Skills Maths and English.
- Experience with online assessment tools.

- Competitive take‑home salary of £27,500‑£30,700 (not pro‑rated).
