Health & Social Care Assessor – Trainee or Qualified

About the role

We are looking for a Health and Social Care Assessor – either a trainee eager to gain a recognised assessor award or a qualified professional ready to manage a caseload of learners across Surrey and Sussex. The role is home‑based with field visits, offering full training and support.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and support learners pursuing Health and Social Care apprenticeship qualifications up to Level 5.
• Deliver functional‑skills training and provide ongoing guidance.
• Plan and manage a diary of visits, ensuring timely reviews and accurate documentation.
• Motivate learners, overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to individual needs.
• Meet KPI targets for visits, paperwork quality and administrative duties.
• Participate in learner recruitment to maintain a sustainable caseload.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years experience as a Deputy Manager, Care Manager or Registered Manager in health and social care for the elderly.
• Minimum Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification (Level 5 preferred).
• Full, clean driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Willingness to travel flexibly across Surrey and Sussex.

Required skills

• Proficient ICT skills for record‑keeping and reporting.
