Health & Social Care Lecturer

About the role

The Supply Register Ltd is seeking qualified Health & Social Care Lecturers to join its bank staff supporting NCG South London Colleges, including Southwark College, Lewisham College and the HE Centre at Harbour Exchange. This flexible role is ideal for experienced educators who want to deliver engaging, industry‑relevant teaching across further and higher education programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality teaching for Health & Social Care courses from Level 1 to Level 5.
• Teach a range of subjects such as health and wellbeing, safeguarding, human development, equality and diversity, communication and person‑centred care.
• Plan and prepare inclusive, learner‑focused lessons.
• Monitor student progress, provide timely feedback and academic support.
• Support learners in achieving qualifications and career goals within the care sector.
• Create a positive, professional and inclusive learning environment.
• Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement initiatives as required.

Required profile

• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent).
• Degree in Health & Social Care, Nursing, Social Work, Public Health, Healthcare Practice or a related subject.
• Experience teaching Health & Social Care in further education, higher education, schools or training environments.
• Strong classroom management, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire learners from diverse backgrounds.
