Health & Social Care Quality Assurer (IQA)

About the role

The Health and Social Care Quality Assurer (IQA) will lead internal verification and quality assurance for apprenticeship standards up to Level 5. Working from home with field‑based visits, you will support assessors and drive continuous improvement across teaching and learning.

Key responsibilities

• Perform internal verification and quality assurance of Health and Social Care apprenticeship standards.
• Develop, plan and execute Quality Improvement Plans.
• Facilitate regular standardisation meetings and conduct observations of teaching and learning.
• Maintain and update sampling plans in line with company and awarding‑organisation requirements.
• Support assessors to ensure timely achievement of learner outcomes.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 5 (or equivalent) in Health and Social Care.
• Recognised Internal Quality Assurance award (e.g., D34, V1, IQA, TAQA L4).
• Minimum 2 years experience as an IQA for Health and Social Care apprenticeships up to Level 5.
• At least 2 years occupational competency in care at a management level.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle; flexibility to travel.
