Health & Social Care Teacher – South East London

About the role

An innovative secondary school in South East London is seeking a dedicated Health & Social Care Teacher to join its vocational and social sciences provision from September 2026. The role involves delivering engaging lessons to Key Stages 4 and 5 and supporting students to achieve strong academic and vocational outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Health & Social Care across Key Stages 4 and 5.
• Plan and deliver lessons that develop students' understanding of health, social care and related career pathways.
• Contribute to curriculum development, assessment and enrichment activities.
• Collaborate with department colleagues to maintain a high‑performing, inclusive learning environment.
• Support student wellbeing and pastoral care as required.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an overseas teaching qualification recognised by UK NARIC.
• Experience teaching Health & Social Care at secondary level.
• Strong subject knowledge and effective classroom practice.
• Commitment to helping all students achieve their potential.
• Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
