Healthcare Assistant

About the role
We are looking for a compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our community care team in East Kilbride. You will support individuals with a range of needs, from daily living assistance to complex medical care, ensuring dignity and safety at every visit.
Key responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medication safely and accurately.
- Provide catheter care and maintain hygiene standards.
- Monitor and record health observations such as blood pressure, temperature and pulse.
- Support clients with epilepsy and other complex health conditions.
- Offer emotional reassurance and maintain client dignity throughout care episodes.
Required profile
- Care Certificate or NVQ in Health & Social Care.
- Minimum one year of relevant care experience.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Safeguarding Level 2 or 3 certification.
- DBS check registered on the Update Service.
Required skills
- Medication administration.
- Catheter care.
- Health observations monitoring.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) competence.
- Manual handling techniques.
