Healthcare Assistant

About the role

Apollo Home Healthcare is seeking a compassionate Healthcare Assistant to support a young, non‑verbal girl with complex care needs. You will work in the community and at school, helping her stay safe, comfortable and independent while engaging in everyday activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide person‑centred clinical and personal care, including observations and medication support.
• Assist with moving and handling, ensuring safe transfers.
• Support the child during school, community outings, hydrotherapy and arts & crafts sessions.
• Document care activities and communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team.
• Promote independence by encouraging participation in daily routines.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 months paid experience in a UK professional care setting.
• Right to work in the UK and full COVID‑19 vaccination.
• Experience caring for children with epilepsy and non‑invasive ventilation.
• Patient, reliable and able to follow client‑specific clinical training.
