Healthcare Assistant – Residential Mental Health Support

About the role

Join a supportive team at Crossley Place in Prescot, delivering 24‑hour residential care for women with complex emotional and mental health needs. As a Healthcare Assistant you will play a vital part in helping residents progress on their recovery journey while working in a modern low‑secure environment.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in ward rounds and collaborate with multidisciplinary staff.
• Observe and analyse resident behaviours, adapting care plans as required.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update care documentation.
• Provide personal care, including assistance with hygiene and daily living activities.
• Support a safe, compassionate environment, responding promptly to any risks.

Required profile

• Experience as a Healthcare Assistant or similar role within the UK.
• Ability to work with adults (18+) who have complex mental health conditions.
• Positive attitude, resilience, compassion and vigilance.
• Commitment to teamwork and a culture of kindness.

Required skills

• Knowledge of basic clinical documentation and record‑keeping.
• Understanding of mental health care principles.
