Healthcare Assistant – Surrey (Temporary, Part‑time)

About the role

We are seeking compassionate and reliable Healthcare Assistants to support individuals across Surrey. This temporary, part‑time role involves delivering person‑centred care in care homes, supported‑living settings, residential homes and community services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing and toileting.
• Support mobility, transfers and repositioning.
• Help with meals, hydration and daily activities.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Monitor and report changes in condition.
• Maintain accurate care records and daily notes.
• Follow care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
• Uphold dignity, privacy and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with nurses, care staff, families and other professionals.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant, Care Assistant or Support Worker.
• Caring, patient and respectful attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliability, flexibility and good time‑management.
• Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and person‑centred care.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Relevant care qualification (NVQ/QCF) desirable but not essential.
