Healthcare Solicitor

About the role

We are seeking a qualified solicitor to join our Healthcare Litigation team in Manchester. The role focuses on defending NHS bodies, medical defence organisations and insurers in complex clinical negligence claims.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of defendant clinical negligence matters from inception to resolution.
• Provide legal advice to NHS Trusts, NHS Resolution and other healthcare clients on high‑value claims.
• Draft pleadings, statements of case and other court documents.
• Conduct case investigations, liaise with medical experts and coordinate with senior partners.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with experience in defendant clinical negligence.
• Applicants with claimant clinical negligence or defendant personal injury experience are also encouraged.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to handle a busy, varied caseload.
