Healthy Communities Instructor

About the role

The Healthy Communities Instructor will design, deliver and evaluate community‑focused health programmes that address health inequalities and promote active, thriving lifestyles across a local contract area.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and manage a range of sustainable Healthy Communities projects and programmes.
• Deliver measurable impact for the community, focusing on health inequality reduction.
• Complete monitoring and evaluation tasks in line with data‑protection protocols.
• Run specific programmes such as Exercise Referral, gym‑based classes, or falls‑prevention initiatives, as agreed with the line manager.

Required profile

• Qualified instructor in a relevant discipline (e.g., Gym Level 3, NGB Level 2 or higher).
• Proven experience planning, delivering and monitoring health‑related sessions.
• Passion for improving local community health.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office tools.
