Heavy Automotive Tutor – Full‑time

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Heavy Automotive Tutor to join our training centre in Middleton, Greater Manchester. The role is full‑time (37.5 hours per week) and involves inspiring apprentices and learners to develop the technical expertise required for a career in the heavy‑vehicle industry.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging practical and theoretical training to apprentices and learners within the centre.
• Assess learners against programme and awarding‑body requirements, ensuring timely completion of all training elements.
• Monitor, review and verify learner progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Promote professional standards, positive workplace behaviours and industry best practice.
• Upload and maintain learner evidence using online learning and assessment platforms.
• Participate in teaching, learning and assessment observations to continuously improve the learner experience.
• Ensure all practical activities are carried out safely and uphold high health‑and‑safety standards.

Required profile

• Strong background in the maintenance and repair of heavy vehicles.
• Good understanding of current industry practices and emerging technologies.
• Ability to motivate and engage a diverse range of learners.
• Experience delivering practical and theoretical training in a classroom or workshop setting.
