About the role
A civil construction company is looking for a Heavy Diesel Mechanic to work in its workshop in Belfast. The role involves diagnosing vehicle faults, carrying out maintenance, repairs and servicing, and helping build a proactive health and safety culture within the workshop team.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose vehicle faults and resolve mechanical issues
- Perform vehicle maintenance, repairs and servicing
- Foster a proactive health and safety culture within the workshop team
Required profile
- Trade qualified in Heavy Automotive, with Plant and Equipment or Road Transport preferred
- Health and safety focused, with good time management and attention to detail
- Own transportation to get to work
- Class 4 and 5 driver licences would be an advantage; clean MOJ required
- Pre-employment medical and drug test required
What we offer
- $35-$40 per hour, with time and a half after 40 hours and a tool allowance
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week
- Opportunities for training and upskilling
- Sign-up bonus of $400 after six weeks (conditions apply)
