Helpline Counsellor – 24/7 Emotional Support

About the role

Join a leading Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) and Occupational Health provider as a Helpline Counsellor. You will deliver immediate emotional support and guidance to callers on a 24/7 helpline, conduct clinical assessments and provide appropriate sign‑posting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide an efficient telephone counselling service to all callers.
• Deliver "in the moment" support using a solution‑focused approach.
• Handle distressed or at‑risk individuals and aim for one‑call resolution.
• Conduct structured telephone or video counselling sessions that can count towards BACP accreditation.

Required profile

• Minimum Diploma Level 4 in Counselling.
• At least 150 counselling hours and 12 months post‑qualification experience.
• Registered member of the BACP or an equivalent professional body.
• High level of computer literacy (MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
