HGV Class 1 Day Driver – £17/hr (Weekends £19/hr)

About the role

Pertemps Gloucester is looking for experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers to work day shifts in Gloucester. The position provides regular Monday‑Friday work with optional weekend cover, competitive hourly rates and the chance to progress to a permanent role.

Key responsibilities

• Operate double‑deck trailers for pallet drops and collections.
• Start shifts at 07:00 and work a minimum of 8 hours per day.
• Provide flexible cover for holidays, sickness and peak demand.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, safety standards and documentation.

Required profile

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 minor penalty points.
• Proven experience with double‑deck trailers.
• Professional, positive “can‑do” attitude.
