HGV Class 1 Driver – Competitive Pay & Shifts

About the role

We are seeking experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers for a busy trunking operation based in Birmingham. The role offers competitive hourly rates, a choice of morning, evening or weekend shifts, and the chance to work on depot‑to‑depot routes across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Operate depot‑to‑depot trunking services on planned and organised routes.
• Transport loads between national sites while adhering to scheduled delivery times.
• Perform vehicle checks and maintain high safety standards.
• Work morning, evening or weekend shifts as required, with no hand‑balling.

Required profile

• Valid HGV Class 1 / C+E licence held for at least one year.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• Minimum 180 days of Class 1 driving experience in the past two years.
• No more than six penalty points on the licence.
• Ability to pass vetting and DBS checks and demonstrate a professional, safety‑focused approach.
