About the role
Swift Recruit is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 drivers for ad‑hoc day work based in Dover. The role offers flexible daytime shifts, allowing drivers to supplement their current employment or pick up extra hours with immediate start.
Key responsibilities
- Operate refrigerated trailers for temperature‑controlled deliveries.
- Perform trunking and multi‑drop deliveries across the nation.
- Collect and deliver goods on nationwide routes, handling both pickups and drop‑offs.
- Conduct vehicle safety checks and complete required paperwork before and after each journey.
Required profile
- Valid Class 1 HGV licence.
- Professional driving experience, preferably with refrigerated trailers.
- Availability for flexible day shifts and ability to start immediately.
Required skills
- Class 1 HGV licence
- Experience with refrigerated trailer handling
- Competence in vehicle inspections and documentation
