HGV Class 1 Driver – Full-Time, No Nights Out

About the role

We are looking for a reliable HGV Class 1 driver to join our busy Thurrock operation. The role involves delivering steel products across the South East on a regular Monday‑to‑Friday schedule, with no overnight stays required.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out multi‑drop deliveries of steel to customer sites.
• Safely load, secure, strap and unstrap loads in line with company and legal standards.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and promptly report any defects.
• Provide excellent customer service at each delivery point.
• Complete all delivery paperwork accurately.

Required profile

• Valid HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum two years of HGV driving experience.
• Proven experience in strapping and unstrapping loads.
• Experience with multi‑drop deliveries, preferably steel or heavy goods.
• Strong understanding of load security and safe delivery practices.
• Reliable, professional work ethic.
