HGV Class 1 Driver – Secure Freight & Dangerous Goods

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join a leading security logistics provider based in Aldermaston. You will be responsible for the safe transport of specialised freight, including dangerous goods, across the UK and Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Load, secure, transport and deliver hazardous and high‑value freight in compliance with ADR legislation.
• Travel to client sites throughout the UK and Europe, often on short notice.
• Work double‑manned teams, ensuring strict safety and security standards.
• Undertake overnight stays, early starts, late finishes and occasional weekend work as required.

Required profile

• Valid clean HGV C+E licence held for at least two years.
• ADR 1‑9 certification (training provided if not already held).
• Commercial driving experience, preferably with flat‑bed vehicles.
• Physically fit to load and unload vehicles and pass security vetting.

Required skills

• ADR certification (dangerous goods handling).
• HGV C+E licence.
• Flat‑bed driving experience.
