HGV Class 1 Driver – Store Deliveries (Hatfield)

About the role

We are seeking experienced HGV Class 1 drivers to join our retail delivery operation based in Hatfield. You will transport palletised goods from our distribution centre to stores across North London, Essex and Kent, working regular shift patterns with competitive hourly rates.

Key responsibilities

• Complete store deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Handle predominantly palletised loads with minimal manual handling.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Ensure accurate and on‑time delivery of goods.
• Complete delivery paperwork and maintain compliance with transport regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service at each store.

Required profile

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category CE) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• At least 1 year of Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than 6 penalty points and no major endorsements.
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours, Working Time Directive and road transport legislation.
• Professional, reliable and customer‑focused attitude.
