HGV Class 1 Driver – Temp-to-Perm, Day/Night Shifts

About the role

Wild Recruitment is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 drivers for a leading freight and logistics client in Portsmouth. The position is temporary with the potential to become permanent and offers flexible day, night and weekend shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and collect chilled stock from local and regional distribution centres, farms and pack houses across the UK.
• Operate a refrigerated HGV Class 1 vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate digital tachograph records and adhere to all road safety regulations.
• Complete a pre‑employment driving assessment.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence with Category C+E.
• Valid Digi‑Tacho and CPC card.
• Minimum six months of HGV driving experience (military experience considered).
• Reliability and professionalism for 24/7 operations.

Required skills

• Operation of refrigerated HGV Class 1 trucks.
• Knowledge of UK road and transport regulations.
• Proficiency with digital tachograph equipment.
