HGV Class 2 Driver Loader

About the role

Join Veolia’s growing fleet as an HGV Class 2 Driver Loader, collecting recycling, refuse and green waste across South Shropshire. You will combine driving and loading duties while supporting local communities and environmental goals.

Key responsibilities

• Collect recycling, refuse and green waste from domestic properties in the South Shropshire area.
• Drive the vehicle and load waste safely and efficiently.
• Perform vehicle defect checks before and after routes.
• Comply with traffic laws, load security and weight regulations.
• Record collections on an onboard tablet and report any issues.
• Ensure the carriageway is left clean and clean up any spillages.
• Assist other collection crews as required.

Required profile

• Valid Class 2 HGV licence.
• Up‑to‑date CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
• Current digital tachograph (Digi/Tachograph) card.
• Willingness to perform a mixed loading/driving role.
• Flexibility to work overtime when needed.
• Previous experience in a public‑facing role.
