About the role
We are seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Dustcart Driver to join an ongoing contract in Bridgwater, Somerset. The role offers stable weekday work with early finishes and the possibility of a permanent contract after a 12‑week trial period.
Key responsibilities
- Operate a refuse collection vehicle on set residential routes.
- Collect household waste and recycling according to schedule.
- Assist loaders with manual handling when required.
- Complete daily route paperwork and ensure health‑and‑safety compliance.
Required profile
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
- Driver CPC qualification.
- Digital Tachograph card.
- Maximum six penalty points, no DR endorsements.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks and wear required PPE.
Required skills
- Safe vehicle operation.
- Basic route planning and record‑keeping.
