HGV Class 2 Dustcart Driver – £19.05/hr

About the role

We are looking for a reliable HGV Class 2 driver to operate dustcarts for waste collection across East London. The role is full‑time, Monday‑to‑Friday, with a guaranteed 8‑hour shift starting at 6 am.

Key responsibilities

• Drive dustcarts and other commercial vehicles safely, following road laws and company policies.
• Collect waste from designated locations, ensuring proper handling and disposal.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness and operational readiness.
• Record collections, routes, and vehicle maintenance logs accurately.
• Load and unload waste containers as required.
• Follow efficient routes and adhere to scheduled pickup times.
• Report any vehicle issues or safety concerns promptly.
• Provide courteous service to customers during collections.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HGV driver, preferably in waste management or logistics.
• Valid HGV Class 2 licence with no more than 6 penalty points and no major endorsements.
• Up‑to‑date CPC and Tacho Card certifications.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to commercial driving and waste collection.
• Strong work ethic, good time‑management and the ability to work independently.
