HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver – Full‑time (Bristol)

About the role

We are looking for an HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver to join our team in Bristol on a full‑time, temporary basis. You will be part of a supportive crew delivering waste and recycling collection services across the city, working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Safely drive and operate Class 2 HGVs in line with legal requirements and company procedures.
• Collect, load, transport and unload waste and recycling materials at designated sites.
• Perform daily vehicle safety checks, report defects promptly and keep the vehicle clean.
• Tip vehicles at approved recycling and waste facilities.
• Complete paperwork and electronic records using handheld devices.
• Provide courteous customer service and communicate professionally with colleagues and the public.
• Work flexibly across different operational locations as needed.

Required profile

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card.
• Good understanding of HGV driving regulations, Working Time Directive and tachograph rules.
• Experience with daily vehicle checks and defect reporting.
• Comfortable using mobile devices for electronic paperwork.
• Reliable, safety‑conscious and a strong team player.

Required skills

• Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph card.
• Ability to complete electronic paperwork using handheld devices.

What we offer

• £17.27 per hour with overtime paid at 1.5× after 39 hours.
• Monday‑Friday 6:00 am – 2:30 pm shifts (39 hours per week).
