HGV Refrigeration Engineer – On‑Site Fleet Role

About the role

We are seeking an on‑site Refrigeration Engineer to keep a fleet of over 50 HGVs and trailers fully operational. You will work within a busy transport and logistics operation, ensuring all refrigerated units meet high performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Service and maintain refrigeration units on HGVs, trailers and vans.
• Diagnose and repair refrigeration faults promptly.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and routine inspections.
• Identify mechanical and refrigeration issues and resolve them efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime.

Required profile

• Mechanically minded with practical experience on refrigerated vehicles or refrigeration systems.
• Previous role as a Fridge Engineer, Refrigeration Engineer or Transport Refrigeration Engineer.
• Experience working on commercial vehicles, HGVs, trailers or vans.

Required skills

• F‑Gas certification or relevant refrigeration gas qualification.
• Refrigeration system maintenance and fault diagnosis.
• Hands‑on approach to preventative maintenance.
