About the role
HTC’s Shoreham depot is seeking experienced HGV Technicians to keep DAF trucks on the road. You will work with advanced workshop systems and have the freedom to diagnose, repair and maintain a range of commercial vehicles.
Key responsibilities
- Perform fast and accurate diagnoses using diagnostic tools and select appropriate repair techniques.
- Independently maintain and repair DAF vehicles and related components.
- Carry out inspections such as MOT and tachograph checks.
- Mentor less‑experienced technicians on a daily basis.
- Conduct final quality checks on completed work.
Required profile
- Completed secondary vocational education.
- Broad vehicle‑related technical knowledge, preferably with DAF products.
- Extensive experience in truck repairs and maintenance.
- Awareness of developments in the automotive industry.
- Own tool‑kit and a valid driving licence (HGV preferred but not essential).
Required skills
- Use of diagnostic tools.
- Vehicle repair techniques.
- MOT inspection procedures.
- Tachograph inspection skills.
