HGV Technician – Rotating Shift – Abingdon

About the role

Scania is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join its Abingdon workshop. You will work on a rotating shift pattern, providing servicing, maintenance and repairs on some of the most respected heavy commercial vehicles in the industry.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing, diagnostics and repairs on HGVs and related vehicle types.
• Maintain a safe and organised workshop environment in line with health and safety standards.
• Work within a rotating shift schedule: Monday‑Friday 06:00‑14:30 or 13:30‑22:00, plus one Saturday per four weeks (06:00‑12:00).
• Collaborate with the team to ensure timely completion of work orders and minimise vehicle downtime.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a technician in HGV, LCV, car, agricultural, plant or military vehicle sectors.
• Willingness to develop skills through in‑house training and the National Learning Academy.
• Commitment to health and safety best practices.
