HGV Technician – Rotating Shift – Avonmouth

About the role

Join Scania’s Avonmouth workshop as an HGV Technician, working on some of the most respected heavy commercial vehicles in the industry. The position follows a rotating two‑week shift pattern, offering a dynamic work environment and the chance to develop your technical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Perform servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGV, LCV and related vehicle types.
• Diagnose faults using vehicle diagnostic equipment and technical manuals.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards.
• Support overtime and weekend duties as required by the shift schedule.

Required profile

• Proven experience or qualifications in HGV, LCV, agricultural, plant or military vehicle maintenance.
• Willingness to work a rotating shift pattern, including occasional Saturdays.
• Commitment to continuous learning and career progression.

Required skills

• Vehicle diagnostics for heavy commercial vehicles.
• Mechanical repair and maintenance of HGV/LCV.
• Ability to interpret technical schematics and service manuals.
