HGV Technician – Rotating Shift – Shepton Mallet

About the role

Scania is seeking a dedicated HGV Technician to join its Shepton Mallet workshop. You will work on a rotating shift pattern, providing servicing, maintenance and repairs on a range of heavy commercial vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance on HGVs and related equipment.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Support the workshop team during rotating shifts, covering both early‑morning and late‑afternoon periods.
• Participate in continuous training at the National Learning Academy to develop technical expertise.

Required profile

• Relevant qualifications or proven experience in HGV, LCV, car, agricultural, plant, or military vehicle maintenance.
• Willingness to work a rotating shift pattern (06:00‑14:30 or 13:30‑22:00, Monday‑Friday).
• Commitment to health and safety best practices and high‑quality workmanship.

• Use of diagnostic equipment and tools for fault identification.
