About the role
We are seeking a qualified High School Science Teacher to join a well‑resourced secondary school in Liverpool. The role covers Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (L1‑L25) and offers a fast‑track placement for the September term.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging theory lessons and practical experiments in Biology, Chemistry or Physics.
- Prepare students for GCSE examinations through targeted revision and past‑paper practice.
- Run safe, organised laboratory practicals with support from technicians.
- Mark assessments, track progress and report against target grades.
- Adapt complex scientific concepts for learners of all ability levels.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS); ECTs and experienced teachers welcome.
- Strong knowledge of the UK secondary science curriculum.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
Required skills
- Practical laboratory safety and organisation.
- Ability to design and deliver hands‑on science experiments.
