High School Science Teacher – Warrington

About the role
Join a high‑performing secondary school in Warrington as a Science Teacher for the upcoming academic year. You will deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, supporting students to achieve strong GCSE results while working within a well‑structured timetable.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver practical experiments and theory lessons in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
- Adapt complex scientific concepts for learners of all abilities.
- Prepare students for GCSE examinations through targeted revision and past‑paper practice.
- Run safe, organised laboratory sessions with support from technicians.
- Mark assessments, track progress and provide feedback to meet target grades.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to departmental planning.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS); ECTs and experienced teachers welcome.
- Strong knowledge of the UK secondary Science curriculum.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) and registration on the Update Service.
- Enthusiastic, energetic and able to foster a positive classroom environment.
Required skills
- Laboratory safety procedures and practical experiment setup.
- Effective classroom management and student engagement techniques.
- Ability to use assessment data to inform teaching.
