Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Flexible Part‑Time Roles

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistants to join schools across Birmingham and surrounding areas. The role offers flexible, part‑time temporary assignments, allowing you to choose the days and locations that suit your lifestyle.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day supply, short‑term bookings and long‑term cover for primary classes.
• Teach whole classes and small groups in EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
• Support SEN pupils through small‑group work and one‑to‑one sessions.
• Collaborate with teachers to deliver the curriculum and maintain classroom management.

Required profile

• Teaching Assistant qualification Level 3+ or a relevant university degree.
• Health and social care background is advantageous.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• Willingness to undertake ongoing training as required.

Required skills

• Ability to plan and deliver lessons across multiple year groups.
• Strong classroom management and pupil engagement.
• Effective communication with staff, pupils and parents.
• Basic knowledge of EYFS, KS1 and KS2 curricula.
• Experience supporting SEN learners.
