Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Full‑time (Chatham)

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a friendly junior school in Chatham. The role starts on 1 September and offers a full‑time schedule of 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday. You will work closely with teachers to support pupils and help create an inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning across the school.
• Deliver lessons and lead whole‑class learning when required.
• Provide targeted support to individual pupils and small groups.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to maximise each child’s potential.

Required profile

• HLTA qualification (or an equivalent recognised qualification).
• Previous experience in a primary or junior school setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive, proactive and adaptable approach.
• Genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
