Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Full‑time, Maidstone

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a school in Maidstone from October 2026. The successful candidate will be confident working across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 and able to adapt their approach to support pupils in a variety of settings.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils 1:1, in small groups, larger groups, and whole‑class settings as required.
• Adapt teaching approaches across KS1 and KS2 to meet diverse learner needs.

Required profile

• Hold relevant HLTA experience or qualifications.
• Have experience working across KS1 and/or KS2.
• Be confident supporting pupils 1:1, in groups and across whole‑class settings.
• Be flexible, enthusiastic and able to adapt to different needs.
• Have strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Be committed to supporting pupils' learning, progress and wellbeing.
• Hold a fully enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for a new enhanced DBS.
